I had the pleasure of using Rachael's services over the last year for two separate issues, my low back, and shoulder. Rachael is a great listener, and extremely knowledgeable on overall anatomy and pathologies, and can very quickly determine an appropriate path toward pain relief, for both the short and long term. I highly recommend!

I have been working with Rachael at Align Movement for about three and a half years, seeing her a couple times a week. I am a male in my 40s and work hard to stay in shape using traditional training methods – running, lifting, etc. Despite a satisfactory fitness level, I could feel my body getting tighter and tighter and I also had some areas in need of physical therapy. In my first meeting with Rachael, she spent a full hour interviewing me and understanding my needs.
I couldn’t ask for a better experience than the one I’ve had with her. She has a wealth of experience including, but not limited to, physical therapy, pilates and yoga. Rachael is always learning and adding to her skill set and genuinely cares about how I’m doing. I have tried a number of different programs in the past – including three levels of P90X and Insanity – and she has taught me many movements that I’ve never seen before. Even better than the physical improvements that I’ve made (and I am amazed by how much better my body feels and how I can perform) is the fact that she goes out of her way to explain each movement so I understand it and can continue to improve on my own. She is flexible and generous with her time and changes up what we do every session to meet my specific day’s needs and to avoid monotony. I am in the best shape that I’ve been in over the last 25 years because Rachael has helped me overcome any and all obstacles, whether they be minor injuries or progress plateaus. I run a couple of 5Ks every year and every one that I’ve run since I’ve worked with Rachael has been faster that the last. I highly recommend Align Movement and Rachael!

Rachael is an incredible practitioner. Super knowledgeable in multiple modalities, very professional, and able to effectively apply her wisdom to her clients' unique needs. I came to Rachael after 7 months of debilitating low-back and hip pain that was preventing me from being able to walk more than 100 feet without having to stop, squat down, take a break and reset.
I am an extremely active and physically fit person who likes to exercise daily, so this pain was negatively impacting the quality of my life.
Before seeing Rachael, I had tried corrective exercises, stretching, manual therapy, vibration, topical treatments and nothing really seemed to move the needle.
Rachael took the time to understand my symptoms, fully assess my posture, movement and strength, and listen to what I had already tried that hadn't worked. She got me on a very simple corrective movement protocol which was fully customized to my body and quite easy to implement. After about 2-3 weeks of regular practice, I feel like a new woman! This past weekend, I was able to take multiple 1-hour walks with ZERO PAIN! I am continuing to do my exercises daily and know that I will be able to return to my regular exercise schedule shortly. This has been life-changing and I am very grateful for Rachael's support. Thank you!

I have been very fortunate to have used the services of a trainer for many years. Rachael, from Align Movement, has been superior in all areas of training (work-outs, Pilates and sports massage for related injuries) than anyone I have ever used. She is very much involved in the health of her client’s not just through a training sessions, but also through designing exercises to suit me individually that I can do on my own. Her sessions are safe, practical and effective that work to improve physical and mental health. She is a committed student of physiology and anatomy always taking courses to better herself and her clients. My wife and other family members are ardent followers, utilizing her skills weekly and at times more often. She has an endearing personality that makes her challenging sessions enjoyable and rewarding. My family can attest to positive results physically and mentally as a result of training with her.

Rachael and I meet a few years back when she walked into my hair salon. From the moment we meet she was easy to talk to and a pleasure to be around. Rachael shared with me her expertise in helping bodies heal from injury and healthy ways to improve your bodies health. The hairstylist business is very stressful on your body my arms, back , elbows and legs were always achy and sore. Rachael through her knowledge, educated me in how she could help me with her align movement osteopath therapy. After our first session I felt relief. She provides home exercises that are easily completed at home. So it was an easy decision to take one of Rachael's power in post partum classes to help with what I refer to menopause belly and urinary incontinence. the program is not hard to do, takes about a half hour of your day, and some of the exercise's you can do during your daily activities. Driving your car, doing dishes standing in line at the grocery store .It is nice to feel confident when getting dressed these days and not have your belly look as though its hanging. I sleep throughout the night now with out getting up to go to the bathroom several times. I actually put on a bikini bathing suit this summer. I would highly recommend this program to anyone that has issues with neck, back, or hips and or pregnant whether you are 6 weeks or 23 weeks post partum this program can help you feel and look great.

I found Rachael through a Facebook post and I am so glad I did. At the time, I was going through some challenges with gut health and overall physical health. Rachael's assessment was thorough and always came to sessions with a wealth of information, as well as updated treatment plans. Rachael helped me figure out the root of my problems and never made me feel shameful for not meeting all of my weekly goals. To add, even though I am 5+ years postpartum, she helped reduce my scar tissue and did hand manipulations I never learned how to do myself. She was super supportive throughout and I am so grateful for her!

Prior to joining the program, I was about two months postpartum. As a first time mom, my biggest hesitations/objections were mainly two things:
-Time-Mostly all mom's go through the biggest challenge postpartum finding time for themselves. Or should I say, "making" time for themselves. I was worried about not being able to make the time to fully commit to the program, and also mom guilt set in. I felt that if I did this program for myself, that the time I took to focus on the program on a daily basis would take away from my baby. You can't pour from an empty cup though if you don't take care of yourself. Rachael taught me you can put that time aside, helped me through my mom guilt, and also helped me make a lot of modifications along the way to help the program fit with my schedule.
-Cost-I was on maternity leave. So the funds coming in were a lot less compared to when I was working, which made it very difficult to commit to spending money on myself for this program. I honestly felt guilty initially for the first couple of weeks, questioning myself and whether I should habe saved the money for something else for my son. But after the first couple weeks, the guilt subsided and I told myself it's okay to spend some extra money on myself. Rachael was able to work with me and set up a payment program to help make this work for me.
I struggled with back pain, plantar fascitis, and diastasis recti postpartum. I was worried that I would do too much too fast postpartum and injure myself. Especially after my 6 week postpartum follow-up, when the doctor told me I had no restrictions and could return to my "normal activities." But every patient's level of "normal" activities is different. So I felt that I was in a dilemma trying to determine where to start. Rachael helped me with all of that and helped me ease into activities without hurting myself.
I started out at 184 lbs. just prior to starting the program. I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight 172-174 lbs. I am breastfeeding, so I have struggled seeing the scale drop lower than my pre-pregnancy weight. Rachael helped suggest diet modifications along the way to help me prioritize protein, since breastfeeding makes me hungry all of the time. She also helped me realize that the number on the scale doesn't define your progress since I was so focused on that. I currently have no back pain, minimal plantar fascitis pain, and almost completely resolved diastasis. But most importantly Rachael helped me mentally through some difficult days/weeks postpartum when I was really struggling as a new mom. And I can forever thank her for that. She is wonderful! I highly recommend her and her program.

I met Rachel after a long battle with back, tailbone, and pelvic pain following the birth of my second baby. I discovered her through the Monmouth Moms podcast while searching for someone who looked at the body as a whole, rather than isolating muscle groups. I had tried various physical therapists before, but most focused on one area at a time and provided very generalized plans.
Rachel was different in her methodology and approach, treating the whole body and movement pattern. Her soft tissue work is gentle yet incredibly effective. Beyond her vast knowledge, she brings amazing energy, enthusiasm, and genuine empathy to every visit. She saw the movement potential in me and supported me every step of the way in reaching my goals.
What also really sets Rachel apart is how accessible and caring she is—always open to questions and concerns. Years later, she’s still on my speed dial whenever anything is bothersome! Thanks to her guidance, I’ve been able to return to group exercise classes, walking and have incorporated her teachings into my daily life. And for the first time in seven years, I went skiing with my kids!
I am so grateful I connected with Rachel, and I recommend her without hesitation to anyone needing expert, whole-body-focused care!

I had been in a cycle of pain and limited mobility due to overuse of my hip joint, with no time for recovery. The demands of my job made self-healing nearly impossible. Feeling lost, I met Rachel at an event; she offered me hope, promising not only to relieve my pain but also to help me return to hiking. Her confidence and professionalism reassured me, and I decided to trust her expertise.
Throughout our sessions, Rachel skillfully unlocked my joint and provided me with targeted exercises. Within just a month, the pain subsided significantly, and the limping ceased. By the end of three months, I was thrilled to be hiking once again.
I wholeheartedly recommend Rachel to anyone seeking to reclaim their physical strength and mobility. She is incredibly professional and a true pleasure to work with.

Working with Rachael brought me great results! I have been running for over 45 years with very few injuries along the way. During and after covid, my office changed locations and we lost our standing desks. After a few years hunched over my desk all day I developed back pain which presented itself more acutely when I ran. I went to see a sports medicine doctor who told me I should stop running and do other non impact exercise. She prescribed some physical therapy for me. I stopped running, went to PT and things got a little better but I really missed running. That is when a good running friend of mine referred me to Rachael. Well, it was one of the best things that I have done. At first I was a bit reluctant because her services were not going to be covered under my health insurance and I would be paying out of pocket. And, I had tried PT and it worked for a bit and then it didn't. I desperately wanted to get back to running so I decided to give Rachael a try and I am so glad I did! We conducted our sessions over video and she tailored an exercise for my symptoms. At first it was really hard to do the exercises and get the hang of them. But, Rachael coached me through them and I started to feel improvements. Rachael was so patient as I learned what worked and what did not work. She updated the plans and adjusted them on a regular basis and was available to for me in between meetings. Over time I got much better at the exercises and was able to start running again. I am not running as far or as hard as I used to (I am 61 years old!) but I am out there again and I am so grateful. Rachael has taught me so much about cross training, pre run and post run routines and other exercises to help me continue my running. I am now on my own for over 6 months and I am still doing my "Rachael's" on a regular basis and I am back out on the road putting in my miles doing one of my favorite activities! I cannot thank Rachael enough and would totally recommend her to anyone looking to get stronger and more fit for daily activities.

I highly recommend Rachael. I struggled with various pains that were somewhat debilitating. She is a genuine and sincere healer, and she is extremely knowledgeable in her craft, which is a lengthy set of effective modalities. She gives me very simple exercises to work on and I focus on better posture, these easy changes have made a very big difference in the length of time my issues flare up, and the level of pain is significantly less than too. I wish I called her during my pregnancy when I realized something was not right, I think she would have saved me much grief, but I’m very happy to be able to use her now and work towards healing. I started working with her at 4.5 years post-partum, I saw her weekly for a few months, now we meet bi-weekly. She provides a well-rounded and personalized approach to my whack-a-mole-problems. (Lower back/hip/pelvic and stomach pains, herniated discs, TMJ, tinnitus, one emergency C-section, and one endometrial mass removed from C-section scar.)

I have had the pleasure of working with Rachael now for the last 6 months and wow has she helped me! I found her on Facebook when she was offering a free week for postpartum moms. I decided to give it a try what did I have to lose I had tried everything I knew and couldn’t help myself. I am currently 18 months postpartum. I started working with Rachael and I couldn't even get on the floor with my kids to play I had so much left hip pain that would make my whole left buttock numb so when I tried to get up it took me forever. I had trouble bending down to pick up my boys and tie my shoes. After learning about what my body went through being pregnant twice very close together and incorporating what Rachael has taught me I no longer have that pain, I have lost some weight and I have more energy! I can run with my kids, play on the floor and be able to just be the mom I have always wanted to be! Thank you Rachael!

Before taking the Power in Postpartum class with Rachael, I was 6 month postpartum with my second c-section baby. I was having a lot of trouble losing the baby weight and closing my diastasis gap/losing the mommy pooch. I had tried a few online videos and short, daily exercises with no luck and not a lot of time to dedicate to myself with two young children. Rachael's classes were different because they were scheduled zoom meetings each week, which held me accountable. They were personalized and targeted. It was like having a personal trainer in my own home. The first few weeks were hard because I wasn't sure it would work, but by weeks four and five I was able to see a noticeable difference in my waist and the breathing exercises became instinctual. I even still do them to this day. I have lost 10 pounds since doing the exercises, and although I still have some work to do (as most moms will tell you) I feel better about my body and overall health thanks to Rachel's class.

Rachael was great! Prior to starting, I felt isolated and overwhelmed with all the videos, ads and products you were “required” to buy in order to just feel good in your body again. Rachael met with me regularly to chat about my concerns, struggles and needs to update the program. She also gave lots of encouragement and insight for my questions and helped me learn along the way.
I feel like I not only learned ways to target and move my muscles but also to heal from the inside out. Such a great encouragement for all women postpartum and highly recommend her support!

Birth

Rachael was our birth doula and she was absolutely incredible. She stayed with us at the hospital for 24 hours while I was in labor and never once wavered in her support. She brought so many helpful ideas, different positions, massage techniques, and pain-management strategies, that made a huge difference during a very slow-moving labor. I truly believe my birth would have ended in a C-section if she hadn’t been there. I can’t recommend Rachael enough!

After a very difficult first pregnancy in 2021—where I faced unexpected complications at 29 weeks, a premature delivery at 34 weeks, and the trauma of having my son transported to another hospital without me for a 28-day NICU stay—I knew I needed a different approach for my second pregnancy. My first experience left me with significant anxiety and fear. While I switched OBGYNs to ensure I’d be at a hospital with a NICU (Jersey Shore), I realized I needed more than just medical care; I needed emotional and physical guidance to navigate the "what-ifs." That is when I found Rachael at Align Movement.
From the very beginning, Rachael was incredible. She didn't just provide birth information; she provided a sense of calm that I needed. Throughout my pregnancy, she worked with me on breathing exercises and pelvic floor strength, which significantly helped with my hip and lower back pain. Beyond the physical, she helped me draft a birth plan and provided the evidence-based research I needed to feel confident in my choices.
The moment I realized how much my mindset had shifted was when I went into labor at 36 weeks. After a check-up showed I was 3cm dilated, contractions started just a few hours later. Instead of panicking, I called Rachael. Her calm instructions to eat a nice meal, relax, and try to rest allowed me to stay grounded.
When things progressed quickly that night, Rachael met me at the hospital. I ended up having a very fast, unmedicated birth—only one hour after arriving! Even though it was quick, the intensity was overwhelming, and there were moments where I truly didn't think I could do it. Rachael was right there, pushing me through and encouraging me.
Even after the delivery, her care didn't stop. She stayed to ensure we were comfortable, helped with nursing, and made sure I was eating and taking care of myself. Because of Rachael, I look back on my birth experience with so much pride and peace.
Investing in Rachael’s personalized support is worth every penny for the confidence and peace of mind she brings to the room. I truly can’t recommend her enough.

Working with Rachael was nothing short of amazing. From the very beginning of pregnancy, to post partum, Rachael was there every step of the way and always knew how to give the exact support needed. After following the guided exercises and videos through the different stages of pregnancy to prepare for childbirth, my body felt as strong and ready as it could. Though the labor experience was extremely difficult, having Rachel on my side made me more confident. She knew exactly what to do and say in each moment, and knowing I had someone there to physically help me, as well as advocate for me was a sense of relief. I highly reccomend Rachael as your doula!
